support our mission

Sheboygan Lutheran High School would not exist without the faithfulness, generosity, and support of the Crusader Nation. Whether you are a visionary who helped launch the school, a faithful attendee of our dinner auction, golf outing, or Bible Breakfasts, a parent of past, present, or future Crusaders, an alumnus, or a firm believer in Christ-centered education, we thank you for all the ways you share you time, talents, and treasures with our school. Because of your generosity, we are empowered and equipped to Prepare Christian Leaders - One Student at a Time for generations to come!

If you are inclined to support our mission with a tax-deductible gift, we invite you to explore the options below. Checks can be mailed to Lutheran High, 3323 University Drive, Sheboygan, WI 53081. If you prefer to make an in-person donation or have questions about the donation process or designation of gifts, contact Carmen Dolson. Or you make a secure, online donation via the button below.

ways to give

IMPACT TOMORROW TODAY CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
In 2020, construction of the largest building expansion in LHS history was completed. We continue to make strides toward reducing the debt of this project. Gifts are welcome at any time.
TAPROOT CLUB
A taproot is the main source of sustenance to the tree. What is visible of the tree is mirrored by its root system.  As the trunk of the tree supports the visible tree, so the taproot system supports the tree’s root system. The Taproot Club yields that sort of support to Lutheran High School.

Membership to the Taproot Club is open to all who desire to show their love to God’s young people through the ministry of LHS. It joins together the Crusader family of faculty, past and current parents, grandparents, alumni, and supporters. The Taproot Club provides funds that help pay teacher salaries, utility bills, and other daily necessities.

Gifts can be made to the Taproot Club at any time during the year, and we celebrate with an annual Taproot Club Dinner every fall. Contact Carmen Dolson to join the club. Donations can be made to the fund at any time during the year.

ANNUAL FUND
The greatest need that LHS has is annual operating funds. LHS’s annual operating budgets depend on over 30% of third source funding. Moreover, the more dollars that are given to our annual fund, the less monies need to be raised through tuition. Lutheran High needs and appreciates all gifts of any size.
MEMORIAL OR COMMEMORATIVE DONATIONS
Are you looking for a special way to preserve the memory of a loved one, to celebrate a special occasion, to give a gift to the person "who has everything"?  A donation to Lutheran High School is a fitting way to remember a special person, while at the same time helping others. To make an online donation click on other and specify that it is a memorial donation. Every year we are fortunate to receive many such donations which help with the operating costs of Lutheran High. You may want to make a simple one-time donation towards the ministry of Lutheran High in memory of a loved one, friend or colleague. Memorial donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. A letter can be sent to the bereaved family to inform them of your thoughtful gift.

Additionally, our Legacy Leaves are a lovely way to create a permanent memorial to your loved one, as well as ensuring the ministry of Lutheran High can flourish. The $500 gift will be put into the Leaders for Life Endowment and a leaf will be engraved for the Memorial Tree.

SCHOLARSHIPS & ENDOWMENTS
Leaders for life endowment
This is LHS’s largest and longest-standing endowment fund. The earnings from this fund are primarily used to offer scholarship assistance to families and students in need. Indeed, this endowment represents our best effort to keep a Christian education affordable for most families in the Sheboygan area.
teach me your ways endowment
Gifts to this fund support our outstanding teachers and staff. As the endowment fund grows, 50% of the earnings are used for teacher/staff bonuses, while the other 50% of earnings are used for LHS’s mentor program.
crusader activities endowment
The earnings from this endowment provide funding for co-curriculars such as athletics, music, and drama, but especially the co-curricular activities dedicated to the outreach and Christian leadership development. Gifts to this fund allow more students to partake in Christian leadership development activities and character-building experiences beyond the normal classroom expectations and curriculum requirements at LHS.
charles benedum student mentor endowment
Established to honor Chuck Benedum for his years of service to LHS as a teacher, athletic director and volunteer. This award provides aid to students with financial need and a desire to serve, study, and fully participate as a student at LHS.
JOHN & LAVERNE HERMANN SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
The earnings from this endowment provide scholarship assistance for families who will have more than one from the same family attending Lutheran High.
