Prayers

LHS certainly appreciates the prayers that are lifted up on behalf of our ministry and mission. God promises us that he listens to all prayers. Please pray for the well-being of LHS students, alumni, families, friends, and the mission of LHS. Thank you!

Taproot Club Annual Dinner

The annual Taproot Club Dinner Event takes place once a year in the early fall. The evenings are filled with much food, fellowship, and fun. We celebrate all that God has given us and Lutheran High. Past special guest speakers include Vince Lombardi Jr., the Jesus Painter - Mike Lewis, "The Minister of Encouragement" - Dr. Dennis Swanberg and Pampered Chef founder Mrs. Doris Christopher.

This year’s special guest speaker will be Mr. Craig McCourt—Director of Youth and Family Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Waconia, MN and founder of GodPonders Ministries.  Get ready to be affirmed in the faith and laugh much as Craig delights the audience with his wit and witness.  His topic for the evening: “You Can’t Perk Hot Chocolate and Other Lessons Learned on the Youth Ministry Trail.”

The Taproot Club provides funds that help pay teacher salaries, utility bills, and other daily necessities at Lutheran High.

Lifetime Members $5,000
Gold Leaf Members $1,500+
Silver Leaf Members $750-$1,499
Bronze Leaf Members $500-$749
Copper Leaf Members $200-$499
Individual $100

Volunteerism
There are so many different ways to give to LHS with your heart, hands, and feet. Call us to tell you more about our Crusader Club (our parentally controlled fundraising organization) and other ways you can help out. We sincerely appreciate the heart and service of all our volunteers.

Annual Fund
The greatest need that LHS has is annual operating funds. LHS’s annual operating budgets depend on over 30% of Third Source funding. Moreover, the more dollars that are given to our annual fund, the less monies need to be raised through tuition. Lutheran High needs and appreciates all gifts of any size. Thank you for remembering our daily ministry needs and making a difference!

Crusader Activities Endowment
The earnings from this endowment provide funding for LHS’s co-curriculars such as athletics, music, and drama, but especially the co-curricular activities dedicated to the outreach and Christian leadership development (i.e. praise band, mission trips, service projects, leadership seminars, motivational speakers, bible studies, etc.). Gifts to this fund will allow more students to partake in Christian leadership development activities and character-building experiences beyond the normal classroom expectations and curriculum requirements at LHS.

Friends of Taproot Club Endowment
The earnings from this endowment are used to cover the expenses of the annual Taproot luncheon as well as to support the mission of the Taproot Club. That mission is to help raise money for the daily operating costs and expenses of LHS.

Leaders for Life Endowment (Student Aid Scholarships)
This is LHS’s largest and longest standing endowment fund. The earnings from this fund are primarily used to offer scholarship assistance to families and students in need. Indeed, this endowment represents LHS’s best effort to keep a Christian education affordable for most families in the Greater Sheboygan Area. Gifts to this fund allow us to reach out to more families and students who would otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints. Over the years, many special supporters of LHS have left memorials, legacy gifts, family donations, and estate gifts to this fund.

Teach Me Your Way Endowment
The earnings and interest will be used to provide a Christmas bonus for full-time LHS teachers and staff until 2010. After 2010, and as the endowment fund grows, 50% of the fund earnings should be used for teacher/staff bonuses, while the other 50% of earnings shall be used for LHS’s Mentor program. Gifts to this fund support our outstanding teachers and staff.

Save Your Inkjet Cartridges
You are able to recycle your empty inkjet cartridges and turn them into cash for our school? Each inkjet cartridge is worth up to $2.00 for our school! We’ll be raising funds for our students and saving the environment. Start saving your empty inkjet cartridges today! Be sure to check with your employer to see if you could have their empty cartridges for this fundraiser. For your convenience, cartridge drop-off sites have been set-up in the two offices. Thank you in advance for your participation and cartridges.
