Our keynote speaker is Rod Handley, the Founder & President of Character that Counts, a ministry established in 2000. Rod speaks all across the nation to men, women and teenagers about character, integrity and accountability issues. He has written over 25 books including "Character Counts: Who's Counting Yours?" From 1986-1999, he served on the staff of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, including 11 years as the COO/CFO. He has also spoken at hundreds of chapel services for a number of NFL, NBA and MLB teams, including serving as team chaplain for the Kansas City Royals (1995-2009) and the Seattle SuperSonics (1986-89). Rod and his wife, Janna, live in Lee's Summit, MO and they have four children (ages 17-24).
Join us for fellowship, dinner, and a chance to hear from a few LHS Seniors who will speak to how LHS has influenced them, and Executive Director, Paul Gnan, who will update you on what’s happening at Sheboygan Lutheran High. Invite a friend and support this inspirational and worthy cause.
A Taproot is the root which is the main source of sustenance to the tree. What is visible of the tree is mirrored by its root system. As the trunk of the tree supports the visible tree, so the Taproot supports the root system. The Taproot Club is that sort of support to Lutheran High School.
Membership to the Taproot Club
is open to all who desire to show their love to God’s young people through the ministry of Lutheran High School. It joins together the LHS “family” of faculty, past parents, current parents, grandparents, supporters, and alumni.
Taproot Contributions
Last year’s event raised over $28,000, which was a direct benefit to the daily ministry of Lutheran High. Prayerfully consider a level of membership. A Lifetime membership donation places 80% of the contribution in the Friends of Taproot Club Endowment Fund with the remainder into the annual fund.
Join the 24 others who have committed to the $5,000 level. Yet, every level is important to the cause at Lutheran High. Each Taproot member/couple will have their names placed on the Taproot Membership Board located in the LHS lobby. Thank you for supporting our Taproot Club!
