National Honor Society

National Honor Society is a national organization run by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. NHS is designed to recognize and encourage academic achievement and develops other characteristics essential to citizens in a democracy. The main ideals contain scholarship, character, service, and leadership.

At Lutheran High, Mrs. Laura Adameak leads the NHS. She has built it into primarily a service organization that seeks to provide service to fellow students, the faculty, the high school, and the community. The NHS has been hard at work all year with service projects including: hosting and organizing the Sheboygan Area Lutheran School Association (S.A.L.S.A.) Spelling Bee, co-hosting the LHS blood drive with the Student Council, holding a Thanksgiving breakfast at Lutheran High, helping with National Lutheran Schools week, and assisting local community events and local service organizations.
